DIFF / Spot the Differences
Privacy Policy
Last updated: · Version 1.0
Learn which information is used to operate the game, synchronize your progress and provide accounts, leaderboards, ads, notifications and purchases.
1. Developer and contact
Deep-Code develops DIFF: Spot the Differences, also identified in Portuguese as Encontre as Diferenças. This policy explains how data is handled by the features available on Android and iOS. For questions, access, correction or data deletion requests, contact developer@deepcode-tech.com.
2. Account and authentication
You can play as a guest or link an account. We use Firebase Authentication to identify your account through an internal identifier. Depending on the sign-in method, authentication services process email, name, credentials and authentication information. Your public nickname is not a sign-in credential.
3. Progress, gameplay and leaderboards
We record level progress, gameplay, scores, stars, XP, lives, inventory, booster use, attempts, correct and incorrect actions and session records, including timestamps and duration. We use these records to synchronize the game, calculate leaderboards, verify rewards and prevent duplicates, fraud and misuse. If you participate in leaderboards, your nickname, score, level, rank and public identifier may be visible to other players. Email, Firebase identifiers and notification tokens are not displayed on leaderboards. Moderation may record nickname changes, reasons and dates.
4. Advertising and consent choices
We use Google AdMob for banners, interstitial ads and rewarded ads. The advertising SDK and its partners may process advertising identifiers, technical device information, IP addresses, ad interactions and consent choices, according to their configuration and policies. Where applicable, Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) displays a consent message. Ad privacy options are available in the app when required by the SDK; you can also adjust device privacy settings. Watching a rewarded ad is a choice to receive its associated reward.
5. Optional usage analytics
The app uses its own analytics to understand sessions, platform and app version, ad interaction and performance, revenue reported by the SDK and notification openings. You can disable optional analytics through the “Help improve the game” setting. This analytics flow does not include email, precise location or advertising identifiers. Disabling it does not prevent operational records needed to run the game or automatically change AdMob advertising choices, which are managed separately.
6. Notifications and app updates
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications. This feature processes notification tokens, installation identifiers, platform, language and delivery and opening records, depending on applicable settings. You can disable notification permission in system settings. The app also sends its platform and installed version to the service to check for applicable app updates.
7. Purchases and ad removal
When the ad removal purchase is available, the platform store processes payment. We process information needed to validate and restore the entitlement, such as transaction identifiers, product, purchase tokens or receipts, status, amount, currency and region provided by the store. The entitlement is associated with your account for verification. The app does not receive your full payment card number. Removing automatic ads does not disable other records needed to operate the game.
8. Service providers, storage and security
Preferences, caches and pending progress may be stored on your device. Service records are stored in backend infrastructure using AWS services and a MySQL database. We use Google/Firebase for authentication, notifications and advertising, and platform stores for purchases when available. Providers may process data in other countries. We use authentication, access controls and server checks to protect data; no technology can guarantee absolute security. Hosting and network services may log technical data for operation and troubleshooting. For the institutional website, Cloudflare hosting may process access and network metadata; this page does not embed the game’s advertising SDK.
9. Retention and deletion requests
We retain operational data as needed for operation, progress recovery, security, moderation and applicable obligations. There is no single deletion period for every category. Analytics maintenance routines may remove detailed ad events after 90 days and daily session records after 180 days, once aggregated and when maintenance runs; summaries may remain. You can request access, correction or deletion through our contact email. To locate the account and avoid unauthorized deletion, we may request enough information to verify ownership; never send passwords or payment card details. Some information may need to be retained for obligations, security or fraud prevention. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not automatically delete server data.
10. Public information and policy changes
Avoid using full names, phone numbers, addresses or other personal information in a public nickname. Parents or guardians should guide minors on game use and public features. This policy may be updated to reflect changes in features and data processing. We will publish the new date on this page; consent changes will be handled through the relevant flow where applicable.
